PS: I've made sure I typed in the correct system menu version, the correct MAC address. If you know what the issue might be and have a solution, any help is greatly appreciated! This same crash screen is pretty much appearing whenever I try to do something. I'm really a novice when it comes to these things so at this point I'm simply clueless. I've tried using ModMii, I've tried installing everything separately, I've tried installing the emulators by downloading them on my computer and placing them on the SD card but NOTHING is working. I have tried finding a solution for hours now and I simply don't know what to do. But now it's more problematic than ever - I simply can't do anything without that screen appearing. I then tried to install HackMii Installer v0.7, which worked just fine, so I was able to get Homebrew channel back. The crash screen appeared every time tried installing it and just wouldn't work. I re-installed the Homebrew channel using HackMii Installer v1.2 and the same crash screen appeared and it just refused to be installed. When I tried to open the Homebrew browser it appears and requires a restart, it started appearing randomly when I tried to play SNES games (using SNES9x GX) and every time I tried opening Sega games (using Genesis Plus GX). Then the same crash screen started appearing frequently. I restarted the Wii and the Homebrew channel was available in my Wii menu despite the crash, and I downloaded emulators and added games. I modded my Wii (4.3E) yesterday with letterbomb and HackMii. Once you launch the installer, you'll have to select what to install and where.I need help with my Wii, it's soon about to get thrown out the window. You need 1.0.8 or newer, though it's still outdated. Second : To use the installer, you also need a specific version of HBC. The servers was planed to shutdown, but I guess they only closed the eShop/games, not the system servers so the installer should still work (though, I need conformation). you need specific information to know what to install, and where.įirst thing to know : the cIOS installer is downloading system files directly from nintendo servers. This is the program which will install the cIOS on the console.īut there is more to it, don't just run it without more info. Yes, you need to download the link I posted above, and extract it into sd:/apps/d2x installer/ here you need to install cIOS d2x AND use it when you play a game. what you need is to use one specific IOS to do one specific action. You might have read that only one IOS is in memory at a time, so other IOS on the console don't have any effect. so, when the console tries to read the game's data from the disc, it gets it from USB instead. To complete your knowledge about cIOS, the "custom" part is in fact adding the ability to redirect disc access to USB. The "scrubbed" versions don't seem to work for me. Had to get a new ISO for the game itself. Here we are:įound 46 IOS on this console. Update: I followed the tutorial below and now instead of returning me to the Homebrew menu when I launch a game, it gives me a black screen and freezes.įigured out how to copy the report of the syscheck lol. If anyone could help me and teach me a little bit, I'd greatly appreciate it. I assumed it would save my reports on the SD Card but I couldn't find them so I can't post them as result unfortunately. I tried to launch my iso for New Super Mario Bros and it just keeps taking me back to the Homebrew menu. I've installed HomeBrew and USB Loader GX. I literally just started with the Wii today though and need some help. Okay, so I am a COMPLETE noob at modding the Wii but I have experience with ISO's and modifications to other devices so I have a decent basic understanding. Gamecube games work just fine on USB Loader GX. When using USB Loader GX, I can select Wii games, but then I'm sent back to the Homebrew channel. Hello all, I am trying to run Wii games off my HDD.
